For independent finance writers
TallyStick links to your brokerage and creates a verified record of how your portfolio has actually performed — without revealing a single position or amount unless you choose to. Your readers can click through and see the record for themselves.
You select when your record starts, based on your brokerage's transaction history and when you started your investing journey. It also depends on your brokerage supplies transaction history
In build now. Onboarding writers by application.
Plans
The same verified data on every plan, checked the same way, off one read-only brokerage connection — no credentials, and no ability to place trades. What changes is depth: performance alone, what you hold now, or everything you have ever held.
Prices are per connected brokerage account, billed monthly. Annual plans launching soon — two months free. The first writers are shaping this, so if something doesn't fit, say so on the call.

Getting started
We check whether your brokerage connects at all and how far back its history reaches — before you commit to anything. It's also where you ask whatever you want about access, data, or leaving.
You authorise a read-only connection at your own broker. Portfolio summary only — no credentials reach us, and no permission to place a trade or move money exists in the connection.
Two private, rotatable links, depending on your plan — one for performance, one for positions if you've chosen that. Built, verified, and syncing daily, with nothing for you to maintain.
Put them wherever you publish (Substack, X, LinkedIn). We run no leaderboard, no ranking and no directory of investors — your record belongs to you, and we have no opinion on how it compares to anyone else's. Every investor has their own niche: a trading style, an area of expertise, and their own way of talking to an audience.
Why we started
For most people, investing is the only realistic path to financial independence. Not a fast one. You put money aside every month, diligently and consistently, build your understanding of the market, and eventually the money does more work than you do.
Some learn from institutions, some on their own, some with the help of a consultant. With the internet, many have come to rely on independent financial writers: people who read the filings nobody else reads, sit on a position for three years, publish their reasoning in the open, and change their mind in public when the facts change. Over the last decade, an enormous amount of that work has been given away for the price of a newsletter, and a lot of people have meaningfully gained from it. That is a genuinely good thing that happened.
But the same openness that allowed those writers to reach an audience also allowed everyone else to reach those same readers. On a timeline, careful analysis and a cropped screenshot look identical. Some writers — knowingly or not — present an incomplete picture: cherry-picked trades, missing context, no sense of risk or drawdown. The cost isn't abstract; it's paid from someone's savings, by the person who could least afford to follow bad advice.
That is why we built TallyStick: to add a trust and verification layer for the writers doing the work properly. A place where performance can be checked, not just claimed.
This won't appeal to everyone, and it isn't meant to. Discord channels and alert services running on unverifiable confidence have no reason to want it — checking is the one thing their model can't survive. TallyStick is for writers whose record was already good before anyone asked to see it.
The call
We're starting with a handful of investors, so this is as much your chance to shape it as mine to explain it. Half of the call is me checking whether your brokerage works at all — if it doesn't, I'll tell you rather than sell you something first.
What we cover
A few details so I understand what you're working with. The broker matters most — it decides what's technically possible — and the rest just means I come to the call prepared rather than asking you basics. It's also your chance to ask anything you want to understand better. If you would rather just email, I'm at verify@tallystick.tech.
I'll be in touch within two days to book a time and discuss further.
